Singapore, with a CAGR of +17.9%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, among the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices by Country

In 2022, the import price in Asia amounted to $X per ton, flattening at the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 an increase of 55% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $X per ton, and then shrank slightly in the following year.

Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major importing countries. In 2022, major importing countries recorded the following prices: in Singapore ($X per ton) and India ($X per ton), while Thailand ($X per ton) and Vietnam ($X per ton) were amongst the lowest.
