The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of X%. The level of export peaked in 2021 and is likely to continue growth in years to come.

China prevails in exports structure, amounting to X tons, which was approx. X% of total exports in 2021. It was distantly followed by Vietnam (X tons), South Korea (X tons), Thailand (X tons) and Japan (X tons), together creating a X% share of total exports. India (X tons) and Malaysia (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.
Exports from China increased at an average annual rate of +X% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Malaysia (+X%), South Korea (+X%), India (+X%), Vietnam (+X%), Thailand (+X%) and Japan (+X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Malaysia emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Asia, with a CAGR of +X% from 2012-2021. China (+X p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while Vietnam, Thailand and Japan saw its share reduced by -X%, -X% and -X% from 2012 to 2021, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, China ($X) remains the largest twine, cordage or textile net supplier in Asia, comprising X% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Vietnam ($X), with an X% share of total exports. It was followed by Thailand, with a X% share.
In China, twine, cordage or textile net exports expanded at an average annual rate of +X% over the period from 2012-2021. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Vietnam (+X% per year) and Thailand (+X% per year).

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, twine, cordage or textile net imports shrank modestly to $X in 2021. Overall, imports saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 an increase of X%. Over the period under review, import prices attained the maximum at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Vietnam ($X per ton), while Saudi Arabia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Vietnam (+X%), while the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the import price figures.
