From 2017 to 2021, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, mobile lifting frame exports fell to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, exports saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 60% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Japan represented the main exporting country with an export of around X units, which amounted to 56% of total exports. Indonesia (X units) held the second position in the ranking, distantly followed by Saudi Arabia (X units), Taiwan (Chinese) (X units) and China (X units). All these countries together took approx. 38% share of total exports. Turkey (X units) held a minor share of total exports.
Exports from Japan increased at an average annual rate of +13.7% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Indonesia (+73.0%), Saudi Arabia (+28.3%), China (+9.5%) and Taiwan (Chinese) (+1.6%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Indonesia emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Asia, with a CAGR of +73.0% from 2012-2021. By contrast, Turkey (-9.4%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Indonesia (+18 p.p.), Japan (+18 p.p.) and Saudi Arabia (+6.8 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while Taiwan (Chinese) and Turkey saw its share reduced by -4.6% and -9.9% from 2012 to 2021, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Japan ($X) remains the largest mobile lifting frame supplier in Asia, comprising 48% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by China ($X), with a 23% share of total exports. It was followed by Indonesia, with a 5% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in Japan totaled +14.8%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: China (-7.6% per year) and Indonesia (+84.9% per year).
Export Prices by Country
The export price in Asia stood at $X per unit in 2021, reducing by -19.2% against the previous year. In general, the export price recorded a drastic downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 an increase of 13% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export prices reached the maximum at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably country of origin: the country with the highest price was China ($X per unit), while Saudi Arabia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Indonesia (+6.9%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, supplies from abroad of mobile lifting frames on tyres and straddle carriers increased by 11% to X units, rising for the second consecutive year after two years of decline. Overall, imports saw pronounced growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 with an increase of 68%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X units. From 2016 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, mobile lifting frame imports shrank rapidly to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, saw a mild shrinkage. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 45% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at $X in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.
Imports by Country
Indonesia (X units), Singapore (X units), Saudi Arabia (X units), Vietnam (X units) and Iran (X units) represented roughly 69% of total imports in 2021. It was distantly followed by South Korea (X units), constituting a 5.1% share of total imports. Taiwan (Chinese) (X units), Bangladesh (X units), Lebanon (X units), Turkey (X units), Thailand (X units) and the United Arab Emirates (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main importing countries, was attained by Taiwan (Chinese) (with a CAGR of +32.8%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Indonesia ($X), South Korea ($X) and Vietnam ($X) constituted the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2021, together accounting for 33% of total imports. These countries were followed by Saudi Arabia, Iran, Turkey, Taiwan (Chinese), Singapore, Bangladesh, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates and Lebanon, which together accounted for a further 31%.
Lebanon, with a CAGR of +18.6%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, among the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The import price in Asia stood at $X per unit in 2021, dropping by -26.2% against the previous year. Overall, the import price recorded a abrupt curtailment. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 when the import price increased by 33% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, import prices failed to regain momentum.
