Water Filter Exports

Exports in Asia

After eight years of growth, overseas shipments of machinery for filtering or purifying water decreased by X% to X units in 2022. Overall, exports, however, enjoyed a strong increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at X units in 2021, and then contracted modestly in the following year.

In value terms, water filter exports rose sharply to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, continue to indicate buoyant growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 when exports increased by X%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in years to come.

Exports by Country

In 2022, China (X units) represented the main exporter of machinery for filtering or purifying water, generating X% of total exports. Taiwan (Chinese) (X units) took a X% share (based on physical terms) of total exports, which put it in second place, followed by South Korea (X%), Singapore (X%) and the United Arab Emirates (X%). The following exporters - Israel (X units) and India (X units) - each reached an X% share of total exports.

Exports from China increased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2022. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, China ($X) remains the largest water filter supplier in Asia, comprising X% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by South Korea ($X), with a X% share of total exports. It was followed by Israel, with a X% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value in China amounted to X%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: South Korea (X% per year) and Israel (X% per year).

In 2022, the export price in Asia amounted to $X per unit, picking up by X% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of X%. While the share of Malaysia (X p.p.), India (X p.p.) and Uzbekistan (X p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2022, the share of Singapore (X p.p.), China (X p.p.) and Iran (X p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. From 2017 to 2022, the import prices remained at a lower figure.
