Electric Sound Amplifier Exports

Exports in Asia

In 2022, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in overseas shipments of electric sound amplifier sets, when their volume decreased by -21.3% to X units. Total exports indicated strong growth from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +5.4% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when exports increased by 19% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at X units in 2021, and then declined significantly in the following year.

In value terms, electric sound amplifier exports declined remarkably to $X in 2022. China was the main exporter of electric sound amplifier sets in Asia, with the volume of exports recording X units, which was near 65% of total exports in 2022. Vietnam (X units) held a 14% share (based on physical terms) of total exports, which put it in second place, followed by Japan (6.7%). The following exporters - Malaysia (X units), Hong Kong SAR (X units), Thailand (X units) and Singapore (X units) - together made up 10% of total exports.

Exports from China increased at an average annual rate of +7.3% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Thailand (+31.2%), Japan (+25.1%), Vietnam (+16.6%) and Malaysia (+3.8%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Thailand emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Asia, with a CAGR of +31.2% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Singapore (-7.2%) and Hong Kong SAR (-11.0%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. China (+10 p.p.), Vietnam (+8.9 p.p.), Japan (+5.5 p.p.) and Thailand (+2.2 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while Singapore and Hong Kong SAR saw its share reduced by -5.4% and -12.7% from 2012 to 2022, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, China ($X) remains the largest electric sound amplifier supplier in Asia, comprising 55% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Japan ($X), with a 16% share of total exports. It was followed by Vietnam, with a 5.3% share.

In China, electric sound amplifier exports increased at an average annual rate of +4.8% over the period from 2012-2022. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Japan (+16.4% per year) and Vietnam (+11.1% per year).
