Accumulator Exports

Exports in ASEAN

In 2022, after two years of growth, there was decline in shipments abroad of electric accumulators, when their volume decreased by X% to X units. Over the period under review, exports, however, saw a prominent increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 when exports increased by X%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at X units in 2021, and then reduced slightly in the following year.

In value terms, accumulator exports surged to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, continue to indicate prominent growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The level of export peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

Exports by Country

Singapore was the main exporter of electric accumulators in ASEAN, with the volume of exports resulting at X units, which was approx. X% of total exports in 2022. Thailand (X units) ranks second in terms of the total exports with a X% share, followed by Malaysia (X%) and Vietnam (X%). The Philippines (X units) held a relatively small share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to accumulator exports from Singapore stood at X%. At the same time, Thailand (X%), Vietnam (X%), the Philippines (X%) and Malaysia (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Vietnam ($X per unit), while Thailand ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
