Pork Market Size in Armenia

The exports of the ten major exporters of pork, namely the U.S., Germany, Spain, Denmark, Canada, the Netherlands, Belgium, Brazil, Poland and France, represented more than two-thirds of total export.

From 2007 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of exports, amongst the main exporting countries, was attained by Spain, while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the U.S. ($X), Germany ($X) and Spain ($X) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2018, together comprising X% of total exports. These countries were followed by Denmark, Canada, the Netherlands, Brazil, Belgium, Poland and France, which together accounted for a further X the main exporting countries, Poland experienced the highest growth rate of exports, over the last eleven years, while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Export Prices by Country

The pork export price in Armenia stood at $X per tonne in 2018, remaining constant against the previous year. Over the period under review, the pork export price continues to indicate a buoyant increase. Over the period under review, the export prices for pork reached their peak figure at $X per tonne in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2018, export prices failed to regain their momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2018, the country with the highest price was Brazil ($X per tonne), while Belgium ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.

From 2007 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Brazil, while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, the total imports indicated a prominent increase from 2007 to 2018: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the last eleven-year period. Imports by Country

In 2018, China (X tonnes), Japan (X tonnes), Italy (X tonnes), Germany (X tonnes), Mexico (X tonnes) and Poland (X tonnes) represented the key importers of pork in the world, mixing up X% of total import. South Korea (X tonnes), the UK (X tonnes), the U.S. (X tonnes), China, Hong Kong SAR (X tonnes), Russia (X tonnes) and France (X tonnes) followed a long way behind the leaders.

From 2007 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of imports, amongst the main importing countries, was attained by China, while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Japan ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported pork into Armenia, comprising X% of global imports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by China ($X), with a X% share of global imports. It was followed by Italy, with a X% share.

From 2007 to 2018, the average annual growth rate of value in Japan stood at +X%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: China (+X% per year) and Italy (-X% per year).

Import Prices by Country

The pork import price in Armenia stood at $X per tonne in 2018, waning by -X% against the previous year. In general, the pork import price continues to indicate a slight decrease. Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination; the country with the highest price was Japan ($X per tonne), while Mexico ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.
