Exports from Argentina
In 2022, overseas shipments of beans (dry) were finally on the rise to reach X tons for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year declining trend. In general, exports posted tangible growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 when exports increased by X%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, dry bean exports declined to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, recorded a mild decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Exports by Country
Brazil (X tons), Italy (X tons) and Spain (X tons) were the main destinations of dry bean exports from Argentina, with a combined X% share of total exports. Vietnam, Turkey, Algeria, Colombia, Venezuela, the Philippines, Portugal, Guatemala, Chile and France lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X%.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Guatemala (with a CAGR of X%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Brazil ($X), Italy ($X) and Spain ($X) constituted the largest markets for dry bean exported from Argentina worldwide, with a combined X% share of total exports. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $X per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Vietnam ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Guatemala (X%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

In 2022, after two years of growth, there was significant decline in supplies from abroad of beans (dry), when their volume decreased by X% to X tons. Overall, imports saw a slight descent. From 2017 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
