Canada (X kg) was the main destination for tobacco exports from Algeria, with a X% share of total exports. Moreover, tobacco exports to Canada exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Turkey (X kg), sixfold. The third position in this ranking was occupied by South Africa (X kg), with a X% share.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination; the country with the highest price was Turkey ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to Germany ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.

From 2015 to 2018, the growth in terms of the average import prices for tobacco (smoking tobacco, chewing tobacco, snuff) failed to regain its momentum.
