Tea Market Size in Algeria

In 2020, the Algerian tea market decreased by -X% to $X for the first time since 2017, thus ending a two-year rising trend. In general, consumption, however, saw a buoyant increase. Over the period under review, exports attained the maximum at $X in 2011; however, from 2012 to 2020, exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

France (X tonnes) was the main destination for tea exports from Algeria, with a X% share of total exports. Moreover, tea exports to France exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Switzerland (X kg), more than tenfold.

From 2007 to 2020, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to France stood at +X%.

In value terms, France ($X) remains the key foreign market for tea exports from Algeria, comprising X% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by Switzerland ($X), with a X% share of total exports.
