Imports into Algeria

In 2022, supplies from abroad of glass fibres and glass wool increased by 15% to X tons for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year declining trend. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a noticeable setback. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 80% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, glass fibres and wool imports reduced to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports saw a relatively flat trend pattern.
