Exports from Togo increased at an average annual rate of +X% from 2007 to 2017. At the same time, Seychelles (+X%), Uganda (+X%), Morocco (+X%), Namibia (+X%) and South Africa (+X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Seychelles emerged as the fastest growing exporter in Africa, with a CAGR of +X% from 2007-2017. By contrast, Tunisia (-X%) and Kenya (-X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2007 to 2017, the share of Tunisia increased by X% percentage points, while Uganda (-X%), Namibia (-X%), South Africa (-X%), Seychelles (-X%), Morocco (-X%) and Togo (-X%) saw their share reduced. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

The nylon net export price in Africa stood at $X per ton in 2017, approximately reflecting the previous year. The nylon net export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2009, when the export prices increased by X% y-o-y. Over the period under review, the export prices for made-up nets from twine, cable or rope of nylon or other polyamides attained its maximum level of $X per ton in 2011; however, from 2012 to 2017, it failed to regain its momentum.

There were significant differences in the average export prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2017, the country with the highest export price was Morocco ($X per kg), while Togo ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014, when imports increased by X% against the previous year. In that year, the nylon net imports reached their peak volume of X tons. From 2015 to 2017, growth of the nylon net imports failed to regain its momentum.
