Exports in Africa

After three years of decline, overseas shipments of line telephone sets with cordless handsets increased by X% to X units in 2022. Over the period under review, exports showed a strong increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of X%. The volume of export peaked at X units in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, line telephone exports surged to $X in 2022. In general, exports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. As a result, the exports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Exports by Country

South Africa dominates exports structure, accounting for X units, which was near X% of total exports in 2022. Tunisia (X units), Senegal (X units) and Lesotho (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to line telephone exports from South Africa stood at X%. At the same time, Senegal (X%) and Lesotho (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Senegal emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Africa, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Tunisia (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period.
