In 2023, shipments abroad of agricultural harvesters decreased by X% to X units, falling for the second consecutive year after two years of growth. In general, exports faced a sharp curtailment. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at X units in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2023, the exports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, agricultural harvester exports shrank slightly to $X in 2023. Over the period under review, exports continue to indicate a noticeable decrease. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2023, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2023, South Africa (X units) was the main exporter of agricultural harvesters, creating X% of total exports. Senegal (X units) took a X% share (based on physical terms) of total exports, which put it in second place, followed by Zambia (X%). Tanzania (X units), Kenya (X units), Zimbabwe (X units), Uganda (X units), Sierra Leone (X units), Tunisia (X units), Malawi (X units) and Mauritius (X units) held a minor share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2023, average annual rates of growth with regard to agricultural harvester exports from South Africa stood at X%.
