South Africa was the main exporting country with an export of around X units, which resulted at X% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Mauritania (X units), Senegal (X units), Ethiopia (X units) and Morocco (X units), together achieving a X% share of total exports. Botswana (X units), Togo (X units), Democratic Republic of the Congo (X units), Rwanda (X units), Tunisia (X units) and Mauritius (X units) held a little share of total exports.

Exports from South Africa decreased at an average annual rate of -X% from 2007 to 2020. Moreover, Senegal emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Africa, with a CAGR of +X% from 2007-2020. By contrast, Botswana (-X%) and Rwanda (-X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2007 to 2020, the share of Mauritania, South Africa, Senegal, Ethiopia, Morocco, Togo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Tunisia and Mauritius increased by +X%, +X%, +X%, +X%, +X%, +X%, +X%, +X% and +X% percentage points, while Botswana (-X p.p.) and Rwanda (-X p.p.) saw their share reduced.
