Exports in Africa

In 2022, approx. X tons of diazo-, azo- or azoxy-compounds were exported in Africa; reducing by X% on the year before. Overall, exports, however, enjoyed a prominent increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 when exports increased by X%. The volume of export peaked at X tons in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, azo- or azoxy-compounds exports shrank rapidly to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, recorded a prominent increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2022, Morocco (X tons) was the major exporter of diazo-, azo- or azoxy-compounds, comprising X% of total exports. Senegal (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total exports with a X% share, followed by South Africa (X%). Cote d'Ivoire (X kg) took a minor share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to azo- or azoxy-compounds exports from Morocco stood at X%. At the same time, South Africa (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Export price indicated slight growth from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, azo- or azoxy-compounds export price decreased by X% against 2017 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, azo- or azoxy-compounds imports reached $X in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of X% over the period from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 with an increase of X% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2022, Nigeria (X tons) represented the key importer of diazo-, azo- or azoxy-compounds, committing X% of total imports. Based on 2022 figures, azo- or azoxy-compounds import price increased by X% against 2019 indices. As a result, import price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
