Decaffeinated Coffee Exports

Exports in Africa

In 2022, the amount of decaffeinated coffee exported in Africa reduced markedly to X tons, with a decrease of X% on the year before. In general, exports continue to indicate a abrupt descent. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at X tons in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, decaffeinated coffee exports declined dramatically to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports recorded a abrupt downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when exports increased by X%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X. From 2018 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.

Uganda was the main exporting country with an export of around X tons, which resulted at X% of total exports. South Africa (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total exports with a X% share, followed by Ethiopia (X%). Egypt (X tons), Burundi (X tons), Tanzania (X tons) and Kenya (X tons) held a minor share of total exports.
