Concrete Pump Exports

Exports in Africa

After two years of growth, shipments abroad of concrete pumps decreased by X% to X units in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, showed a perceptible expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by X%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of X units, and then reduced notably in the following year.

In value terms, concrete pump exports soared to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, enjoyed a pronounced increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 when exports increased by X%. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Exports by Country

South Africa was the major exporter of concrete pumps in Africa, with the volume of exports accounting for X units, which was near X% of total exports in 2022. Cote d'Ivoire (X units) took an X% share (based on physical terms) of total exports, which put it in second place, followed by Gabon (X%). Uganda (X units), Angola (X units), Morocco (X units), Algeria (X units), Namibia (X units), Tunisia (X units) and Senegal (X units) held a relatively small share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to concrete pump exports from South Africa stood at X%. At the same time, Gabon (X%), Cote d'Ivoire (X%), Tunisia (X%), Algeria (X%), Uganda (X%) and Senegal (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. The export price in Africa stood at $X per unit in 2022, increasing by X% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, the export prices reached the maximum at $X per unit in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Tunisia ($X per unit), while Angola ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Cote d'Ivoire (X%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
