In Algeria, cauliflower and broccoli production increased at an average annual rate of X% over the period from 2012-2022. The remaining producing countries recorded the following average annual rates of production growth: Egypt (X% per year) and Morocco (X% per year).

In 2022, the average cauliflower and broccoli yield in Africa totaled X tons per ha, increasing by X% compared with the year before. The yield figure increased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being observed in certain years. Cauliflower And Broccoli Exports

Exports in Africa

In 2022, the amount of cauliflower and broccoli exported in Africa contracted notably to X tons, reducing by X% against 2021. In general, exports, however, recorded a buoyant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of X% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of X tons, and then contracted remarkably in the following year.

In value terms, cauliflower and broccoli exports fell to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, enjoyed a strong increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of X%. The level of export peaked at $X in 2021, and then contracted in the following year.

In 2022, Egypt (X tons), distantly followed by Kenya (X tons), South Africa (X tons) and Morocco (X tons) represented the largest exporters of cauliflower and broccoli, together mixing up X% of total exports. Tunisia (X tons) took a little share of total exports.

In value terms, cauliflower and broccoli imports surged to $X in 2022. In general, imports showed strong growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by X%. The level of import peaked in 2022 and is likely to see steady growth in the immediate term.

Imports by Country

In 2022, Cote d'Ivoire (X tons) was the key importer of cauliflower and broccoli, mixing up X% of total imports. Mauritania (X tons) held the second position in the ranking, distantly followed by Nigeria (X tons). All these countries together took approx. X% share of total imports.
