Brassiere exports declined to X units in 2022, with a decrease of X% on the previous year's figure. In general, exports recorded a abrupt downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The volume of export peaked at X units in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, brassiere exports dropped sharply to $X in 2022. Overall, exports recorded a abrupt contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when exports increased by X%. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In 2022, Tunisia (X units) and South Africa (X units) represented the main exporters of brassieres in Africa, together constituting X% of total exports. Ethiopia (X units) held a X% share (based on physical terms) of total exports, which put it in second place, followed by Morocco (X%), Madagascar (X%) and Lesotho (X%). Kenya (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.
