Exports in Africa
After two years of growth, shipments abroad of aniline derivatives and their salts decreased by X% to X tons in 2022. In general, exports, however, saw significant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The volume of export peaked at X tons in 2021, and then reduced rapidly in the following year.
In value terms, aniline derivatives exports reduced markedly to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, showed a buoyant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when exports increased by X%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.
Exports by Country
In 2022, Kenya (X tons) represented the major exporter of aniline derivatives and their salts, mixing up X% of total exports. South Africa (X tons) took the second position in the ranking, followed by Zambia (X tons). All these countries together held approx. X% share of total exports.
Kenya was also the fastest-growing in terms of the aniline derivatives and their salts exports, with a CAGR of X% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, South Africa (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Zambia experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
