Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was France ($4,576 per ton), while the price for China ($1,333 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by France (+6.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average homogenised composite food preparations export price stood at $5,525 per ton in February 2023, with an increase of 29% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.3%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was France ($6,891 per ton), while the average price for exports to Finland ($3,939 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From February 2022 to February 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Austria (+9.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports of Homogenised Composite Food Preparations in the Netherlands

The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +80.7% against 2019 indices. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
