Insulated Coaxial Cable Price in Hong Kong SAR (CIF) - 2022

In 2022, the average insulated coaxial cable import price amounted to $9,146 per ton, rising by 2.6% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2022, it increased at an average annual rate of +2.0%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 an increase of 23%. The import price peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.

Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the countries with the highest prices were Indonesia ($9,369 per ton) and China ($9,090 per ton), while the price for Thailand ($9,089 per ton) and the United States ($9,089 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Indonesia (+5.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Insulated Coaxial Cable Price in Hong Kong SAR (FOB) - 2022

In 2022, the average insulated coaxial cable export price amounted to $30,910 per ton, shrinking by -11.3% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, continues to indicate a buoyant increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 when the average export price increased by 17% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $34,855 per ton in 2021, and then declined in the following year.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the countries with the highest prices were the United States ($30,910 per ton) and Taiwan (Chinese) ($30,910 per ton), while the average price for exports to Singapore ($30,910 per ton) and France ($30,910 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Czech Republic (+6.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Insulated Coaxial Cable Imports in Hong Kong SAR

In 2022, overseas purchases of insulated coaxial cables increased by 27% to 16K tons for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year declining trend. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +1.7% from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations in certain years.
