Electric Car Sales on the Rise: A Look at Global Trends

Electric car sales have been steadily increasing over the past few years. According to a report by the International Energy Agency, global sales of electric cars surpassed 2.1 million in 2019, which is a 6% increase from the previous year.

China is the largest market for electric vehicle sales, followed by Europe and the United States. In fact, Norway is leading the charge when it comes to electric cars, with more than half of new car sales being electric vehicles in 2020.

As more and more countries aim to transition to a low-carbon economy, electric cars are becoming increasingly popular due to their lower air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions compared to traditional gasoline vehicles. With advancements in battery technology and infrastructure, electric cars are poised to become even more mainstream in the coming years.
