U.S. Central Heating Boilers, For Producing Hot Water Or Low Pressure Steam Import Price in June 2022

In June 2022, the central heating boilers, for producing hot water or low pressure steam price amounted to $1.7K per unit (CIF, US), jumping by 16% against the previous month. Over the period under review, import price indicated prominent growth from January 2022 to June 2022: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +8.9% over the last five-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on June 2022 figures, import price for central heating boilers, for producing hot water or low pressure steam increased by +52.9% against January 2022 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in May 2022 an increase of 22% against the previous month. The import price peaked in June 2022.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In June 2022, the country with the highest price was Canada ($3.8K per unit), while the price for Brazil ($300 per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From January 2022 to June 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Canada (+26.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In June 2022, after three months of growth, there was significant decline in overseas purchases of central heating boilers, for producing hot water or low pressure steam, when their volume decreased by -38.6% to 17K units. In general, imports saw a abrupt decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in March 2022 with an increase of 20% m-o-m. Imports peaked at 27K units in May 2022, and then fell markedly in the following month.

In value terms, imports of central heating boilers, for producing hot water or low pressure steam declined markedly to $29M (IndexBox estimates) in June 2022. Over the period under review, total imports indicated a measured increase from January 2022 to June 2022: its value increased at an average monthly rate of +2.5% over the last five-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on June 2022 figures, imports decreased by -28.9% against May 2022 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in March 2022 with an increase of 45% month-to-month. Imports peaked at 41M units in May 2022, and then declined rapidly in the following month.

U.S. Central Heating Boilers, For Producing Hot Water Or Low Pressure Steam Imports by Country

In June 2022, South Korea (6K units) constituted the largest supplier of central heating boilers, for producing hot water or low pressure steam to the United States, accounting for a 36% share of total imports. Moreover, imports of central heating boilers, for producing hot water or low pressure steam from South Korea exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Canada (2.7K units), twofold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Germany (2.3K units), with a 14% share.

From January 2022 to June 2022, the average monthly rate of growth in terms of volume from South Korea stood at -8.5%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average monthly rates of imports growth: Canada (-14.2% per month) and Germany (-9.7% per month).

In value terms, the largest central heating boilers, for producing hot water or low pressure steam suppliers to the United States were Canada ($10M), South Korea ($6.8M) and Germany ($2.8M), with a combined 69% share of total imports. Italy, the Netherlands, the UK and Brazil lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 17%.

In terms of the main suppliers, the Netherlands, with a CAGR of +20.1%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
