Primary Fiber Crops Production in Viet Nam

Primary fiber crops production in Viet Nam amounted to 91.6 thousand tonnes in 2015, rising by +1.0% against the previous year level. Overall, the primary fiber crops output pursued a moderate decline from 2007 to 2015. The trend pattern did not record any noticable fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. This general negative trend was largely conditioned by a noticeable curtailment of the harvested area and a moderate improvement of the yield figures.

The growth pace was the most rapid in 2010, when the output figure increased by +11% from the previous year level. Over the period under review, the primary fiber crops production in Viet Nam attained its maximum volume of 98.8 thousand tonnes in 2007. From 2008 to 2015, the total primary fiber crops output growth failed to regain its strength.
