Apple Production in the Netherlands

Apple production in the Netherlands amounted to 388.0 thousand tonnes in 2015, rising by +9.9% against the previous year level. Overall, the apple output pursued a moderate decline from 2007 to 2015. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticable fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. This general negative trend was largely conditioned by a noticeable curtailment of the harvested area and solid gains of the yield figures.

The growth pace was the most rapid in 2011, when the output figure increased by +25% from the previous year level. In that year, the apple production in the Netherlands attained its maximum volume of 418.0 thousand tonnes. From 2012 to 2015, the apple output in growth failed to regain its strength.
