Apple Production in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Apple production in Bosnia and Herzegovina amounted to 54.8 thousand tonnes in 2015, rising by +22.2% against the previous year level. Overall, the apple output pursued a pronounced decline from 2007 to 2015. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticable fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. The total output figures decreased at an average annual rate of -1.3%. This general negative trend was largely conditioned by a measured expansion of the harvested area and a noticeable contraction of the yield figures.

The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013, when the output figure increased by +70% from the previous year level. In that year, the apple production in Bosnia and Herzegovina attained its maximum volume of 85.1 thousand tonnes. From 2014 to 2015, the apple output in growth failed to regain its strength.
