Apple Production in Australia

Apple production in Australia amounted to 259.3 thousand tonnes in 2015, declining by -2.8% against the previous year level. Overall, the apple output pursued a moderate decline from 2007 to 2015. The trend pattern did not record any noticable fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. This general negative trend was largely conditioned by a slight curtailment of the harvested area and a slight contraction of the yield figures.

The growth pace was the most rapid in 2011, when the output figure increased by +13% from the previous year level. In that year, the apple production in Australia attained its maximum volume of 299.8 thousand tonnes. From 2012 to 2015, the apple output in growth failed to regain its strength.
