Anise, Badian And Fennel Production in Morocco

Anise, badian and fennel production in Morocco amounted to 22.0 thousand tonnes in 2015, declining by -10.4% against the previous year level. Overall, the anise, badian and fennel output pursued a moderate decline from 2007 to 2015. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticable fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. This general negative trend was largely conditioned by a slight curtailment of the harvested area and a slight contraction of the yield figures.

The growth pace was the most rapid in 2012, when the output figure increased by +16% from the previous year level. In that year, the anise, badian and fennel production in Morocco attained its maximum volume of 29.5 thousand tonnes. From 2013 to 2015, the anise, badian and fennel output in growth failed to regain its strength.
