Anise, badian and fennel production in Mexico amounted to 57.0 thousand tonnes in 2015, rising by +6.5% against the previous year level. Overall, the anise, badian and fennel output pursued a pronounced growth from 2007 to 2015. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticable fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. This general positive trend was largely conditioned by a noticeable curtailment of the harvested area and solid gains of the yield figures.

The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013, when the output figure increased by +20% from the previous year level. In that year, the anise, badian and fennel production in Mexico attained its maximum volume of 65.1 thousand tonnes. From 2014 to 2015, the anise, badian and fennel output in growth failed to regain its strength.
