Anise, badian and fennel production in Canada amounted to 11.7 thousand tonnes in 2015, rising by +2.3% against the previous year level. Overall, the anise, badian and fennel output pursued a moderate growth from 2007 to 2015. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticable fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. This general positive trend was largely conditioned by a noticeable curtailment of the harvested area and solid gains of the yield figures.

The growth pace was the most rapid in 2010, when the output figure increased by +16% from the previous year level. Over the period under review, the anise, badian and fennel production in Canada reached its maximum volume in 2015, and is likely to continue its growth in the immediate term.
