Almond Production in Tunisia

Almond production in Tunisia amounted to 59.6 thousand tonnes in 2015, declining by -10.6% against the previous year level. Overall, the almond output pursued a moderate growth from 2007 to 2015. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticable fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. This general positive trend was largely conditioned by a measured expansion of the harvested area and a slight contraction of the yield figures.

The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014, when the output figure increased by +28% from the previous year level. Over the period under review, the almond production in Tunisia attained its maximum volume of 70.0 thousand tonnes in 2012. From 2013 to 2015, the total almond output growth failed to regain its strength.
