Iran Continues to Be the Main Export Market for Chinese Wrapping Paper

In value terms, the largest markets for wrapping papers exported from China were Iran ($X), the U.S. ($X) and Thailand ($X), with a combined X% share of total exports.
Among the main countries of destination, Thailand recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to exports, over the last eleven years, while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Export Prices by Country
In 2018, the average wrapping papers export price amounted to $X per tonne, surging by X% against the previous year. Over the period from 2007 to 2018, it increased at an average annual rate of +X%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2012 an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices for wrapping papers attained their peak figure in 2018 and is expected to retain its growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination; the country with the highest price was Vietnam ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to Iran ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.
From 2007 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to China, Hong Kong SAR, while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
