The average synthetic yarn import price stood at $X per tonne in 2016, remaining relatively unchanged against the previous year level. Overall, synthetic yarn import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2011, when import price increased by X% from the previous year level. In that year, average synthetic yarn import price attained its maximum level of $X per tonne. From 2012 to 2016, growth of average synthetic yarn import price failed to regain its strength.
Import prices varied noticeably by country of destination. the country with the highest import prices was Bangladesh ($X per tonne), while Indonesia ($X per tonne) was among the lowest.
