Which Country Imports the Most Domestic Food Grinders in the World?

From 2015 to 2016, growth of global diode imports stood at a somewhat lower level.

In value terms, diode imports totaled $107B in 2016. Overall, it indicated a prominent expansion from 2007 to 2016: the total imports value increased at an average annual rate of +3.6% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. Based on the result of 2016, diode imports decreased by ;5.4% against its level of 2014. Global diode import peaked of $117B in 2011; however, from 2012 to 2016, it failed to regain its strength.

Diode Imports By Country

In 2016, China (1.8M tonnes) was the largest importer for diode, generating 41% of total imports. It was distantly followed by Mozambique (732K tonnes), South Korea (276K tonnes), Nigeria (268K tonnes), and Germany (224K tonnes), together committing 35% share of total diode imports. Mexico (139K tonnes), the Philippines (133K tonnes), the UK (131K tonnes), the Netherlands (90K tonnes), and Australia (76K tonnes) took the minor share of total imports.

China experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. At the same time, Mozambique (+866.0%), Nigeria (+54.2%), South Korea (+36.8%), Australia (+36.3%), the UK (+33.0%), Germany (+7.4%), and the Philippines (+3.9%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Mozambique emerged as the fastest growing importer/exporter in the world, with a CAGR of +866.0% from 2007;2016. By contrast, the Netherlands (;12.0%), and Mexico (;14.4%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Mexico (10%), and the Netherlands (4%) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the global imports, while Australia, Germany, the UK, South Korea, Nigeria, and Mozambique saw its share reduced by ;1.6%, ;2.5%, ;2.8%, ;6.0%, ;6.0%, and ;16.9% from 2007 to 2016, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, China ($28B) constitutes the largest market for imported diode worldwide, making up 26% of global imports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by Germany ($5.4B), with the share of 5% of global imports. It was followed by South Korea, with the share of 4%.

From 2007 to 2016, the average annual growth rate of value of diode imports in China expanded at +6.6%. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates: Germany (;3.0% per year) and South Korea (+4.0% per year).

Diode Import Prices By Country

In 2016, the average import price for diode amounted to $25 per kg, shrinking by ;14.3% against the previous year. Over the period from 2007 to 2016 it increased at an average annual rate of +1.4%.The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015, when import increased by 53% from the previous year level. In that year, average diode import price reached its maximum level of $29 per kg, falling back in the following year.

Import prices varied noticeably by country of destination. the country with the highest import prices was Germany ($24 per kg), while Mozambique ($7 per tonne) was among the lowest.

From 2007 to 2016, the most notable growth rate of diode import prices was attained by Mexico (+25.5% per year), while the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Food Mixer Imports By Country

China (601K tonnes) was the main importer of food mixer in the world, reaching 601K tonnes, which was near 38% of total imports in 2016. The U.S. (122K tonnes) occupied a 8% share (based on tonnes) of global food mixer imports, which put it in second place, following Germany (5%), and Czech Republic (5%). The following importers - the UK (39K tonnes), Italy (39K tonnes), Japan (38K tonnes), France (37K tonnes), Russia (32K tonnes), the Netherlands (31K tonnes), Belgium (26K tonnes), and United Arab Emirates (26K tonnes) took approx. 17% of total imports, each.

Moreover, Czech Republic emerged as the fastest growing importer/exporter in the world, with a CAGR of +32.3% from 2007-2016. France experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, United Arab Emirates (-1.4%), and the U.S. (-2.6%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2007 to 2016, the share of the U.S. increased by 2% percentage points, while Germany (-2.6%), and Czech Republic (-4.7%) saw their share reduced. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, the U.S. ($1.9B), Germany ($1.1B) and Japan ($762M) were the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2016, together comprising 34% of global imports.France, the UK, the Netherlands, Italy, China, Belgium, Czech Republic, Russia and United Arab Emirates lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 28%.

China (+20.2% per year) had the highest rates of growth with regard to the food mixer imports, among the main importing countries, over the last 9 years, while the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Food Mixer Import Prices By Country

The average food mixer import price stood at $7,009 per tonne in 2016, stabilizing at the previous year level. Overall, it indicated a prominent growth from 2007 to 2016: the import price value increased at an average annual rate of +4.2% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. Based on the result of 2016, food mixer import price decreased by -2.6% against its level of 2014. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2010, when import increased by 13% from the previous year level. Global food mixer import peaked of $7,193 per tonne in 2014- however, from 2015 to 2016, it stood at a somewhat lower level.

There were significant differences in the average import prices amongst major importing countries. In 2016, the country with the highest import prices was Japan ($20 per kg), while China ($530 per tonne) was among the lowest.

From 2007 to 2016, the most notable growth rate of food mixer import prices was attained by China (+19.7% per year), while the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
