Cigarette Lighters Imports By Country
China (X tonnes) was the key importing country with an import of around X tonnes, which finished at X% of total imports. It was distantly followed by the U.S. (X tonnes), and Indonesia (X tonnes), together mixed up X% share of total cigarette lighters imports. Germany (X tonnes), United Arab Emirates (X tonnes), Vietnam (X tonnes), Japan (X tonnes), China, Hong Kong SAR (X tonnes), Russia (X tonnes), the Netherlands (X tonnes), Spain (X tonnes), and Mexico (X tonnes) followed a long way behind this figure.
China experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. At the same time, Indonesia (+X%), Vietnam (+X%), Mexico (+X%), and Spain (+X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Indonesia emerged as the fastest growing importer/exporter in the world, with a CAGR of +X% from 2007-2016. United Arab Emirates, Germany, the Netherlands, and China, Hong Kong SAR experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, the U.S. (-X%), Japan (-X%), and Russia (-X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. The shares of the largest importers remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, the U.S. ($X), Germany ($X) and Japan ($X) constituted the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2016, with a combined X% share of global imports. These countries were followed by Mexico, China, Hong Kong SAR, Spain, Russia, China, Indonesia, the Netherlands, United Arab Emirates and Vietnam, which together accounted for a further X%.
Indonesia (+X% per year) experienced the highest growth rate of cigarette lighters imports, in terms of the main importing countries, over the last X years, while the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Cigarette Lighters Import Prices By Country
The average cigarette lighters import price stood at $X per tonne in 2016, shrinking by -X% against the previous year. Over the last nine years it increased at an average annual rate of +X pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2011, when import increased by X% y-o-y. Over the period under review, average cigarette lighters import price attained its maximum level of $X per tonne in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2016, it stood at a somewhat lower level.
