Ceramic Tile Imports By Country

China (X tons) represented the largest importer of ceramic tile in the world, resulting at X tons, which was approx. X% of total imports in 2016. It was distantly followed by Italy (X tons), mixed up X% share of total ceramic tile imports. Indonesia (X tons), Saudi Arabia (X tons), the U.S. (X tons), the Philippines (X tons), Germany (X tons), Cambodia (X tons), and France (X tons) occupied the minor share of total imports.

China experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. At the same time, the Philippines (+X%), Cambodia (+X%), Saudi Arabia (+X%), Indonesia (+X%), and Germany (+X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, the Philippines emerged as the fastest growing importer/exporter in the world, with a CAGR of +X% from 2007-2016. Italy, and the U.S. experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, France (-X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Cambodia (-X%), Saudi Arabia (-X%), the Philippines (-X%), and Indonesia (-X%) decreased significantly, the shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, the largest ceramic tile markets worldwide were the U.S. ($X), France ($X) and Germany ($X), with a combined X% share of global imports.Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, the Philippines, Cambodia, Italy and China lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X%.

Cambodia (+X% per year) experienced the highest growth rate of ceramic tile imports, among the main importing countries, over the last X year period, while the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Ceramic Tile Import Prices By Country

In 2016, the average import price for ceramic tile amounted to $X per ton, coming down by -X% against the previous year. Overall, ceramic tile import price continues to indicate a mild increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2010, when import price increased by X% year-to-year. Global ceramic tile import peaked of $X per ton in 2014- however, from 2015 to 2016, it stood at a somewhat lower level.

Import prices varied noticeably by country of destination. the country with the highest import prices was France ($X per ton), while China ($X per ton) was among the lowest.
