In 2016, China (X tonnes), distantly followed by Germany (X tonnes), the U.S. (X tonnes), the Netherlands (X tonnes), and the UK (X tonnes) were the largest importers of candles and tapers, together committing X% of total imports. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, the largest candles and tapers markets worldwide were the U.S. ($X), Germany ($X) and the UK ($X), together accounting for X% of global imports. These countries were followed by the Netherlands, France, Canada, Austria, Sweden, Belgium, Czech Republic, China and Vietnam, which together accounted for a further X%.
China (+X% per year) recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the candles and tapers imports, among the main importing countries, over the last X years, while the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
