Bulldzer Imports By Country

In 2016, Japan (2.6M tonnes), distantly followed by South Korea (1.1M tonnes), the U.S. (951K tonnes), China (735K tonnes), Germany (656K tonnes), and the Netherlands (625K tonnes) represented the key importers of bulldzer, together mixed up 55% of total imports. The following importers ; the UK (536K tonnes), Belgium (437K tonnes), Canada (323K tonnes), Italy (312K tonnes), and France (293K tonnes) together made up 16% of total imports.

Japan experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. At the same time, Italy (+5.8%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Italy emerged as the fastest growing importer/exporter in the world, with a CAGR of +5.8% from 2007;2016. South Korea, Germany, and the Netherlands experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, the U.S. (;2.2%), China (;2.3%), the UK (;2.6%), Canada (;5.1%), Belgium (;5.7%), and France (;6.3%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Belgium (2%), France (2%), the U.S. (2%), and Canada (2%) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the global imports, while the shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, the U.S. ($5B) constitutes the largest market for imported bulldzer worldwide, making up 15% of global imports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by Canada ($2B), with the share of 6% of global imports. It was followed by Germany, with the share of 5%.

In the U.S., bulldzer imports expanded at an average annual rate of +2.2% over the period from 2007;2016. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Canada (;4.1% per year) and Germany (;1.0% per year).

Bulldzer Import Prices By Country

The average bulldzer import price stood at $2,761 per tonne in 2016, falling by ;5.0% against the previous year. Overall, bulldzer import price continues to indicate a slight slump. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2010, when import increased by 12% y;o;y. Global bulldzer import peaked of $3,583 per tonne in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2016, it failed to regain its strength.

There were significant differences in the average import prices amongst major importing countries. In 2016, the country with the highest import prices was Canada ($6,323 per tonne), while Japan ($75 per tonne) was among the lowest.

From 2007 to 2016, the most notable growth rate of bulldzer import prices was attained by Japan (+15.8% per year), while the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2016, China (9.3K tonnes), distantly followed by India (5.4K tonnes), Australia (3.1K tonnes), Belgium (2.9K tonnes), Mexico (2.7K tonnes), Kazakhstan (2.2K tonnes), Sweden (2.1K tonnes), and South Korea (1.9K tonnes) represented the largest importers of cadmium, together achieving 71% of total imports. Canada (1.7K tonnes), Russia (1.4K tonnes), the Netherlands (1.3K tonnes), and Barbados (1.2K tonnes) followed a long way behind this figure.

From 2007 to 2016, the most notable growth rate of cadmium imports, among the main importing countries, was attained by India (+28.7% per year), while the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest cadmium markets worldwide were China ($11M), India ($7M) and Belgium ($3.2M), together comprising 77% of global imports. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2010, when import price increased by 18% from the previous year level. Over the period under review, average cadmium import price attained its maximum level of $3,653 per tonne in 2007- however, from 2008 to 2016, it stood at a somewhat lower level.
