The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, the largest veneer sheet markets worldwide were India ($X), Germany ($X) and Italy ($X), together comprising X% of global imports.
India (+X% per year) recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the veneer sheet imports, in terms of the main importing countries, over the last X years, while the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Veneer Sheet Import Prices By Country
The average veneer sheet import price stood at $X per tonne in 2016, ascending by X% against the previous year. In general, veneer sheet import price continues to indicate a deep shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016, when import increased by X% against the previous year level. Over the period under review, average veneer sheet import price attained its maximum level of $X per tonne in 2007- however, from 2008 to 2016, it failed to regain its strength.
There were significant differences in the average import prices amongst major importing countries. In 2016, the country with the highest import prices was Austria ($X per tonne), while Latvia ($X per tonne) was among the lowest.
