Which Country Exports the Most Triticale in the World?

Global triticale exports amounted to 1,387 thousand tonnes in 2015, surging by +24.1% against the previous year level. Overall, the global triticale exports indicated a pronounced growth from 2007 to 2015. The trend pattern, however, fluctuated wildly throughout the analyzed period. The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of +16.5% over the last eight years.

The growth pace was the most rapid in 2009, when the output figure increased by +79% from the previous year level. Over the period under review, the global triticale exports reached its maximum volume in 2015, and is likely to continue its growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, global exports amounted to $401 million in 2015. Overall, the value of global exports increased tangibly from 2007 to 2015, expanding at an average annual rate of +9.1%. This trend pattern, however, indicated relatively mild fluctuations throughout the analyzed period.

Triticale Imports By Country

The country with the largest volume of the triticale exports in absolute volumes was Poland (590 thousand tonnes), accounting for 43% of global exports. It was followed by Lithuania (207 thousand tonnes), with a share of 15% of global exports. Moreover, triticale exports in Poland exceeded the figures recorded by the world's second largest exporter, Lithuania, threefold. The third position in this ranking was occupied by France with a share of 11%.

From 2007 to 2015, an average annual growth rate of triticale exports in Poland stood at +55.8%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual growth rates: Lithuania (+36.6% per year) and France (+14.4% per year).

In value terms, the country with the largest volume of exports of triticale in absolute volumes was Poland (103 million USD), making up 26% of global exports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by the United States (40 million USD), with a share of 10% of global exports. Moreover, triticale exports in Poland exceeded the figures recorded by the world's second largest importer, the United States (40 million USD), threefold. It was followed by France with a share of 10%.

From 2007 to 2015, an average annual growth rate of triticale exports in Poland was at +47.0%. The remaining exporting countries experienced the following average annual growth rates: the United States (+0.6% per year) and France (+11.3% per year).
