Global peach and nectarine exports amounted to 2,212 thousand tonnes in 2015, surging by +8.7% against the previous year level. Overall, the global peach and nectarine exports indicated a pronounced growth from 2007 to 2015. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticable fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of +5.2% over the last eight years.

The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014, when the output figure increased by +11% from the previous year level. Over the period under review, the global peach and nectarine exports reached its maximum volume in 2015, and is likely to continue its growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, global exports amounted to $2,179 million in 2015. Overall, the value of global exports increased tangibly from 2007 to 2015, expanding at an average annual rate of +2.8%. This trend pattern, however, indicated relatively mild fluctuations throughout the analyzed period.

Peach And Nectarine Imports By Country

The country with the largest volume of the peach and nectarine exports in absolute volumes was Spain (850 thousand tonnes), accounting for 38% of global exports. It was followed by Italy (269 thousand tonnes), with a share of 12% of global exports. Moreover, peach and nectarine exports in Spain exceeded the figures recorded by the world's second largest exporter, Italy, threefold. The third position in this ranking was occupied by Belarus with a share of 7%.

From 2007 to 2015, an average annual growth rate of peach and nectarine exports in Spain stood at +6.3%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual growth rates: Italy (-4.0% per year) and Belarus (+362.1% per year).

In value terms, the country with the largest volume of exports of peach and nectarine in absolute volumes was Spain (898 million USD), making up 41% of global exports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by Italy (231 million USD), with a share of 11% of global exports. Moreover, peach and nectarine exports in Spain exceeded the figures recorded by the world's second largest importer, Italy (231 million USD), fourfold. It was followed by the United States with a share of 7%.

From 2007 to 2015, an average annual growth rate of peach and nectarine exports in Spain was at +4.5%. The remaining exporting countries experienced the following average annual growth rates: Italy (-7.7% per year) and the United States (+0.3% per year).
