Mattress Imports By Country
China (X tonnes) represented the key importing country with an import of around X tonnes, which finished at X% of total imports. The U.S. (X tonnes) took the second position in the ranking, followed by Poland (X tonnes). All these countries together held near X% share of total imports. Japan (X tonnes), Germany (X tonnes), France (X tonnes), the UK (X tonnes), Australia (X tonnes), the Netherlands (X tonnes), India (X tonnes), Belgium (X tonnes), and Canada (X tonnes) followed a long way behind this figure.
China experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. At the same time, Australia (+X%), the Netherlands (+X%), Germany (+X%), the U.S. (+X%), France (+X%), Belgium (+X%), Canada (+X%), Japan (+X%), the UK (+X%), India (+X%), and Poland (+X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Australia emerged as the fastest growing importer/exporter in the world, with a CAGR of +X% from 2007-2016. Germany (-X%), and the U.S. (-X%) significantly weakened its position in terms of the global imports, while the shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, the U.S. ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported mattress worldwide, making up X% of global imports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by Japan ($X), with the share of X% of global imports. It was followed by Germany, with the share of X%.
In the U.S., mattress imports stood at an average annual rate of +X% over the period from 2007-2016. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Japan (+X% per year) and Germany (+X% per year).
Mattress Import Prices By Country
The average mattress import price stood at $X per tonne in 2016, declining by -X% against the previous year. Over the last nine years it increased at an average annual rate of +X growth pace was the most rapid in 2011, an increase of X% from the previous year level. Global mattress import peaked of $X per tonne in 2014- however, from 2015 to 2016, it failed to regain its strength.
Import prices varied noticeably by country of destination. the country with the highest import prices was Canada ($X per tonne), while China ($X per tonne) was among the lowest.
From 2007 to 2016, the most notable growth rate of mattress import prices was attained by China (+X% per year), while the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
