Marble Imports By Country
China (X tonnes) prevails in marble imports structure, accounting for X tonnes, which was approx. X% of total imports in 2016. It was distantly followed by India (X tonnes), achieving X% share of total marble imports. Italy (X tonnes), Egypt (X tonnes), Togo (X tonnes), and Algeria (X tonnes) followed a long way behind this figure.
Imports into China increased at an average annual rate of +X% from 2007 to 2016. At the same time, Egypt (+X%), India (+X%), and Algeria (+X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Egypt emerged as the fastest growing importer/exporter in the world, with a CAGR of +X% from 2007-2016. By contrast, Togo (-X%), and Italy (-X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. In value terms, China ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported marble worldwide, making up X% of global imports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by India ($X), with the share of X% of global imports. It was followed by Italy, with the share of X%.
From 2007 to 2016, the average annual growth rate of value of marble imports in China expanded at +X%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: India (+X% per year) and Italy (-X% per year).
Marble Import Prices By Country
In 2016, the average import price for marble amounted to $X per tonne, descending by -X% against the previous year. Over the last nine years it increased at an average annual rate of +X most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014, when import increased by X% against the previous year level. In that year, average marble import price attained its maximum level of $X per tonne. From 2015 to 2016, growth of average marble import price stood at a somewhat lower level.
