Which Country Exports the Most Furnace Burners in the World?

In 2016, approx. 260K tonnes of furnace burner were imported worldwide- coming down by -2.3% against the previous year level. In general, furnace burner imports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013, when it surged by 11% y-o-y. In that year, global furnace burner imports reached its maximum volume of 275K tonnes. From 2014 to 2016, growth of global furnace burner imports failed to regain its strength.

In value terms, furnace burner imports totaled $2.1B in 2016. In general, furnace burner imports continue to indicate a mild curtailment. Global furnace burner import peaked of $2.9B in 2008- however, from 2009 to 2016, it failed to regain its strength.

Furnace Burner Imports By Country

In 2016, China (50K tonnes), distantly followed by Angola (31K tonnes), Italy (28K tonnes), Germany (22K tonnes), and Indonesia (17K tonnes) were the key importers of furnace burner, together achieving 56% of total imports. The Netherlands (11K tonnes), Austria (9.9K tonnes), the U.S. (9.5K tonnes), the UK (7.2K tonnes), and France (4K tonnes) occupied the mild share of total imports.

From 2007 to 2016, the most notable growth rate of furnace burner imports, among the main importing countries, was attained by Angola (+18.3% per year), while the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest furnace burner markets worldwide were China ($218M), the U.S. ($193M) and Germany ($142M), together accounting for 26% of global imports.France, Indonesia, Italy, the UK, Austria, the Netherlands and Angola lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 20%.

Indonesia (+7.7% per year) recorded the highest growth rate of furnace burner imports, among the main importing countries, over the last 9 years, while the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Furnace Burner Import Prices By Country

In 2016, the average import price for furnace burner amounted to $8,221 per tonne, declining by -2.7% against the previous year. In general, furnace burner import price continues to indicate a moderate slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2008, an increase of 11% y-o-y. In that year, average furnace burner import price attained its maximum level of $11 per kg. From 2009 to 2016, growth of average furnace burner import price stood at a somewhat lower level.

Import prices varied noticeably by country of destination. the country with the highest import prices was France ($25 per kg), while Angola ($67 per tonne) was among the lowest.

From 2007 to 2016, the most notable growth rate of furnace burner import prices was attained by France (+3.4% per year), while the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
