In 2016, the global exports of furnace burner totaled 118K tonnes, remaining relatively unchanged against the previous year level. Overall, furnace burner exports continue to indicate a slight curtailment. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2008, when exports increased by 13% y-o-y. In that year, global furnace burner exports reached its maximum volume of 154K tonnes. From 2009 to 2016, growth of global furnace burner exports stood at a somewhat lower level.

In value terms, furnace burner exports stood at $2.4B in 2016. Overall, furnace burner exports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. Global furnace burner export peaked of $3B in 2008; however, from 2009 to 2016, it stood at a somewhat lower level.

Furnace Burner Exports By Country

The countries with the highest levels of furnace burner exports in 2016 were Italy (27K tonnes), China (22K tonnes), and Germany (19K tonnes), together recording 57% of total export. The U.S. (9.1K tonnes) ranks second globally in furnace burner exports with a 8% share, following Austria (5%). The following exporters - Japan (2K tonnes), South Korea (2K tonnes), Hungary (1.9K tonnes), Poland (1.9K tonnes), and Czech Republic (1.8K tonnes) took near 8% of total exports, each.

From 2007 to 2016, the most notable growth rate of furnace burner exports, among the main exporting countries, was attained by Hungary (+13.4% per year), while the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest furnace burner markets worldwide were Germany ($623M), Italy ($437M) and the U.S. ($317M), together comprising 57% of global exports.China, Austria, Japan, South Korea, Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 15%.

South Korea (+7.8% per year) had the highest rates of growth with regard to the furnace burner exports, among the main exporting countries, over the last 9 years, while the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Furnace Burner Export Prices By Country

The average furnace burner export price stood at $20 per kg in 2016, coming down by -4.1% against the previous year. In general, furnace burner export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2011, when export price increased by 14% year-to-year. Global furnace burner export peaked of $24 per kg in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2016, it failed to regain its strength.

Export prices varied noticeably by country of destination. the country with the highest export prices was the U.S. ($35 per kg), while Hungary ($5,913 per tonne) was among the lowest.

From 2007 to 2016, the most notable growth rate of furnace burner export prices was attained by China (+6.6% per year), while the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
