Potash Imports By Country
In 2016, Brazil (X tonnes), and China (X tonnes) represented the key importers of potash in the globe, together creating X% of total imports. India (X tonnes) ranks second globally in potash imports with a X% share, following Indonesia (X%). Malaysia (X tonnes), the Netherlands (X tonnes), Viet Nam (X tonnes), Poland (X tonnes), France (X tonnes), Thailand (X tonnes), Belgium (X tonnes), and Bangladesh (X tonnes) occupied the minor share of total imports.
From 2007 to 2016, the most notable growth rate of potash imports, among the main importing countries, was attained by the Netherlands (+X% per year), while the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Brazil ($X), China ($X) and India ($X) constituted the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2016, with a combined X% share of global imports. These countries were followed by Indonesia, Malaysia, Belgium, Viet Nam, the Netherlands, France, Poland, Thailand and Bangladesh, which together accounted for a further X%.
The Netherlands (+X% per year) had the highest rates of growth with regard to the potash imports, among the main importing countries, over the last X years, while the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Potash Import Prices By Country
In 2016, the average import price for potash amounted to $X per tonne, coming down by -X% against the previous year. In general, potash import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2008, when import price increased by X% y-o-y. Global potash import peaked of $X per tonne in 2012- however, from 2013 to 2016, it stood at a somewhat lower level.
Import prices varied noticeably by country of destination. the country with the highest import prices was Belgium ($X per tonne), while Brazil ($X per tonne) was among the lowest.
From 2007 to 2016, the most notable growth rate of potash import prices was attained by Bangladesh (+X% per year), while the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
