In 2016, the global exports of bearing stood at 2.3M tonnes, leveling off at the previous year level. The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of +1.2% from 2007 to 2016; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2010, when export increased by 28% year-to-year. Over the period under review, global bearing exports reached its maximum volume of 2.4M tonnes in 2011; however, from 2012 to 2016, it stood at a somewhat lower level.

In value terms, bearing exports amounted to $29B in 2016. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +1.3% from 2007 to 2016; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. Over the period under review, global bearing exports attained its maximum level of $35B in 2011; however, from 2012 to 2016, it stood at a somewhat lower level.

Bearing Exports By Country

In 2016, China (455K tonnes), followed by Japan (299K tonnes), Germany (244K tonnes), the U.S. (132K tonnes), France (114K tonnes), Italy (112K tonnes), and South Korea (105K tonnes) were the largest exporters of bearing, together mixed up 64% of total exports. Romania (83K tonnes), Slovakia (70K tonnes), Poland (58K tonnes), Singapore (56K tonnes), and the Netherlands (55K tonnes) followed a long way behind this figure.

From 2007 to 2016, the most notable growth rate of bearing exports, among the main exporting countries, was attained by South Korea (+11.3% per year), while the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, China ($4.6B), Germany ($4.4B) and Japan ($3.9B) appeared as the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2016, with a combined 44% share of global exports. These countries were followed by the U.S., France, Italy, Singapore, South Korea, Romania, the Netherlands, Slovakia and Poland, which together accounted for a further 33%.

South Korea (+10.9% per year) had the highest growth rate of bearing exports, among the main exporting countries, over the last 9 years, while the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Bearing Export Prices By Country

The average bearing export price stood at $13 per kg in 2016, reducing by -3.8% against the previous year. Overall, bearing export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2008, when export price increased by 9% year-to-year. Global bearing export peaked of $15 per kg in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2016, it failed to regain its strength.

Export prices varied noticeably by country of destination. the country with the highest export prices was Singapore ($19 per kg), while Poland ($7,188 per tonne) was among the lowest.

From 2007 to 2016, the most notable growth rate of bearing export prices was attained by China (+2.8% per year), while the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
