Global amine-function compound exports amounted to 3M tonnes in 2016, picking up by 3% against the previous year figure. The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of +1.1% from 2007 to 2016; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being observed in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2010, when it surged by 18% against the previous year level. Over the period under review, global amine-function compound exports reached its maximum volume in 2016, and are expected to retain its growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, amine-function compound exports totaled $7.3B in 2016. In general, amine-function compound exports continue to indicate a slight setback. Over the period under review, global amine-function compound exports reached its maximum level of $10B in 2011; however, from 2012 to 2016, it stood at a somewhat lower level.

Amine-Function Compound Exports By Country

The exports of the four major exporters of amine-function compound, namely China, Belgium, the U.S., and the UK, represented more than two-thirds of total export. Germany (180K tonnes) occupied the second position in the ranking, followed by Czech Republic (165K tonnes). All these countries together occupied near 11% share of total exports. The following exporters - India (90K tonnes), Japan (79K tonnes), Saudi Arabia (74K tonnes), Portugal (69K tonnes), the Netherlands (65K tonnes), and South Korea (57K tonnes) together made up 14% of total exports.

From 2007 to 2016, the most notable growth rate of amine-function compound exports, among the main exporting countries, was attained by Saudi Arabia (+33.7% per year), while the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, China ($1.6B), the U.S. ($1.2B) and Belgium ($1B) appeared as the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2016, with a combined 52% share of global exports. These countries were followed by Germany, India, the UK, Japan, the Netherlands, Czech Republic, South Korea, Saudi Arabia and Portugal, which together accounted for a further 31%.

Saudi Arabia (+48.0% per year) recorded the highest growth rate of amine-function compound exports, in terms of the main exporting countries, over the last 9 year period, while the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Amine-Function Compound Export Prices By Country

In 2016, the average export price for amine-function compound amounted to $2,433 per tonne, declining by -15.9% against the previous year. Overall, amine-function compound export price continues to indicate a pronounced slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2008, an increase of 20% from the previous year level. In that year, average amine-function compound export price reached its maximum level of $3,843 per tonne. From 2009 to 2016, growth of average amine-function compound export price failed to regain its strength.

Export prices varied noticeably by country of destination. the country with the highest export prices was India ($4,414 per tonne), while Portugal ($1,043 per tonne) was among the lowest.

From 2007 to 2016, the most notable growth rate of amine-function compound export prices was attained by Saudi Arabia (+10.7% per year), while the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
