Global wheat consumption amounted to X thousand tonnes in 2015, remaining constant against the previous year level. Overall, the global wheat consumption indicated a pronounced growth from 2007 to 2015. The trend pattern, however, was relatively stable, with only minor fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. The total consumption volume increased at an average annual rate of +X%. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2008, when the output figure increased by +X% from the previous year level. Over the period under review, the global wheat consumption reached its maximum volume in 2015, and is likely to continue its growth in the immediate term.

Global Wheat Consumption
In 2015, the countries with the highest consumption were China (X thousand tonnes), India (X thousand tonnes), Russia (X thousand tonnes), together accounting for X% of total consumption. They were followed by the United States with a X% of global consumption share and France with a X% share.
From 2007 to 2015, the most notable growth rates of wheat consumption among the main consuming countries was attained by Russia (+X% per year), while the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
The highest levels of wheat per capita consumption was registered in France (X kg/year), followed by Russia (X kg/year), the United States (X kg/year), China (X kg/year) and India (X kg/year), while the average per capita consumption of wheat was estimated at X kg/year in 2015.
In Russia, per capita wheat consumption has grown noticably (+X% per year) in recent years. In 2015, Russia per capita consumption reached X kg/year as compared with X kg/year in 2007.
